Panic Stricken

Online at places with wifi. AGAIN...

Yesterday at Sri Rampai Old Town. Today at Jusco McDonalds.

*grumble to the max*

When is my god-damn Streamyx gonna be repaired? It's the fourth day already. I'm so lifeless without Internet at home. I wanna start doing my assignments. I wanna watch dramas on Youtube. I wanna Facebook. I have lots and lots of things to do!

Gotta type as fast as I could. Lappy battery is going off soon. No socket in McD. Duh... Why things seem not to be going well?

*shake head*

Watched 2 movies lately.

Watched this one myself in Times Square sometime before CNY. Went shopping for bags, passed by the cinema, stood in front of the poster, thought for a min... Alright. Let's go!

Nice one. Fairytale story. Well, the title of the movie tells it all. I kinda laughed my ass off from the beginning and cried my heart out towards the end. The dialogues were funny and touching. The Rock is good at making faces too. Overall, I love it.

Watched this one with bro 2 days ago. We actually planned to watch it with our parents last Sunday to celebrate both CNY and Valentine's Day. It's been a while since the 4 of us go for a movie together. Unfortunately, the mishap ruined our plan and everything has to be cancelled.

Valentine's Day is bout the love life of a few couples. Look at the list of cast. WOW... Wonderful actors and actresses. We were really impressed when we saw the trailer. Expecting it to be an excellent show. It's not too disappointing though. Only the plot isn't that well-planned. 130 mins are hardly enough to move from a story to another. But the ending is not bad. Acceptable.

Noticed I didn't take much photos this CNY, unlike last year. Lacked of CNY mood. Family affairs and ill for twice in 2 weeks took my mood away. But then, the poster outside the Midvalley Watson is really cute. So, we took one there before we left.

Bro with his undone hair

Me with a pale face

Had a piece of Mango Delight at Secret Recipe too. So random huh? Dessert is the best medicine when you are having a bad mood. True enough...

Mmm mmmm... ^^

By the way, 3 more days to go before the release of ACCA results. Gosh... I'm getting panic, you know? Though I'm ready to face the worst outcome, basically all FAILED!

*touchwood*

Still, I wish I could juz get through at least one subject. My main target is to clear off my fundamental paper. I mean Financial Management.

Oh please...

Couldn't do much now. Wait for the results with patience. Hopefully, Streamyx comes back to life by then. I wanna check my results at home. I don't wanna get a heart attack somewhere in the public.

That's so embarassing!

Tragedy

When everybody was happily looking forward to celebrate CNY, my family on the other hand was left in sorrow. I remember how shocking I was the minute I received the call from mum last Tuesday night. Rushed back to hometown the next day to settle grandpa's funeral. This is the first time I faced such a situation. Go through the pain due to the sudden passing of my close family member.

May grandpa rest in peace at his "new home"...

Feeling really weird not being able to celebrate CNY as normal for the very first time in my life. Was prohibited from sending wishes, getting ang pows, going for house visits and wearing red attire during the 15 days period. But we are allowed to have small family gatherings.

So, we had a belated reunion lunch at Ocean Village Restaurant in Nilai on the second day of CNY.

CNY 2010

Prefer last year's family portrait when grandpa was still around. Happy Family!

CNY 2009

I spent my third day of CNY with my secondary school friends at Pizza Hut. It's been three years since I last met them. Used to work part time during CNY to earn a triple pay. But this year is exceptional.

FAMILY & FRIENDS first...

*wink wink*

(Guys from left): Tian Seng, Tzu Ming, Chee Leong & Kok Yew
(Girls from left): Me, Ai Li, Siew Mei & Sook Hui

Really miss each and every one of them. My beloved hometown gang. Most of us look so different nowadays. Possibly due to our hairstyle and dressing up. Thought of uploading some old photos here to compare us before and after. But the old photos are in hardcopies and I don't have a scanner. Too bad... Some other time then.

Red Red Everywhere

3 days off last week. The weekends and Federal Day. Weee...

Despite AAA progressive test on Thursday, I still insisted to go for a movie with bro. Not asking for too much. I hadn't been to the cinema since Avatar. Main reason... I was able to persuade my tired-looking bro to accompany me. Haha.

*vroom vroom vroom*

Sped to Pavilion on Monday night. So delighted to see all those CNY decorations were put up. Horray! Quickly collected our tickets for The Spy Next Door and spent the next half an hour taking photos around the mall.

I'll let the photos do the talking...

My grinning face

Bro's matching red polo

Not to be missed "couple"... ROFL!

Movie at 10.30pm and I couldn't wait. I didn't watch the trailer. I didn't read any movie critics. But I juz could sense the humour in the show.

It didn't fail me. Like I said, I was laughing profusely throughout the show. Damn hilarious. Maybe it's not that hilarious. To me, yes... Jackie Chan seems to aged a lot. Noticed all the wrinkles on his face. Still, he did a great job with his role. Couldn't expect more from an amateur like him. Way to go, Jackie!

Did I mention bout my 2 weeks holiday? The first half of the semester ended. So, we are given a middle semester break or whatever it is called. But do you think our lecturers will let us go that easily? Of course NOT! 2 assignments awaiting to be done. Wouldn't be able to enjoy CNY so freely this year. Miserable eh?

That's not the most torturing part. The day when the next half of the semester resumes, I bet many of us will be experiencing a heart attack. ACCA result to be released.

*dup dap dupp dapp duppp dappp*

The list goes on... Progressive tests and internal exam results too. FAINTS!

Drama Addict

I'm currently alone in my room, in a house with no other than my bro and I. The other housemates are either back to hometown or at work.

Boring Sunday.

As I was filtering files to be transferred to my new lappy, I came across the images I saved in one of my folders. Images of Taiwan dramas that I've watched so far. Remember in my previous posts quite some time ago, I mentioned I have been watching old dramas to keep myself entertained during the ACCA exam period?

Well, it has then become a habit to actually continue watching more and more of them. I'm such an addict!

And hey... I used to be a TVB drama fanatic. Coz I have better understanding in Cantonese. But now, language isn't a barrier anymore. I seem to enjoy Taiwan dramas in Mandarin without the need of subtitles. Practice makes perfect eh???

Let me share my past 2 months drama documentary with you guys... o(^.^)o

It Started With A Kiss <惡作劇之吻>

It Started With A Kiss 2 <惡作劇2吻>

Love or Bread <我的億萬麵包>

Honey & Clover <蜂蜜幸運草>

Summer X Summer <熱情仲夏>

Notice the similarity between the dramas above? To those who did, BINGO! To those who didn't, it doesn't matter.

Before this, I was never once bother bout Joe Cheng's dramas. I used to think fan blogs are exaggeratedly complimenting on how handsome and how talented he is. However, It Started With A Kiss changed my perspective totally. His charismatic roles make me look forward to watch even more of his dramas. Can't wait for It Started With A Kiss 3 to be aired. Heard it should be some time this year.

Next on the recommendation list:

Miss No Good <不良笑花>

Wish To See You Again <這裡發現愛>

Woody Sambo <無敵珊寶妹>

Rolling Love <翻滾吧!蛋炒飯>

Bump Off Lover <愛殺17>

My MVP Valentine <MVP 情人>

The legendary 5566. Super famous during my secondary school days. Awesome boy band. Wonderful songs. Too bad they dismissed some years back. Don't you think guys who play basketball look muscular and manly? Awww...

By the way, Taiwan drama soundtracks can be downloaded from AZN Dramas.

Second Time Around

Thaipusam. Public holiday. Yippie!

Everyone's out. How could we stay home and miss the fun? There goes my second round shopping in Sungai Wang Plaza.

On the way

Everyone seems to be doing last minute shopping like us. Holy crap! The parking bay was full. The stores were overly congested. The queue at the fitting rooms was at least 20 feet long. The queue at the cashier counter was of the same length.

No kidding.

I should have taken a photo of the situation. But I was too busy picking on clothes.

Mum and I lingered in the same shop for bout an hour plus. Both of us nearly suffocated from the fierce crowd of "bargain hunters". Luckily I suggested dad and bro to have their high tea in a nearby cafe. Our suffering paid off in the end. Mum bought me a dress and herself a blouse.

All I'm lacked now is a pair of shoes and a new handbag.

Went from shop to shop but ended up in vain. Shoes I spotted were either too tall or out of size. Not being able to wear 3 inches heels and size 6 isn't my fault. Blame my height!

Almost 6pm when we finished going around the mall. Time for dinner. Headed to our favourite Super Noodle House.

*drool*

No photos on food. All I could say is the shrimp wanton noodle and white fungus with longan and honey dew dessert are delicious. The beef brisket noodle is as good too.

My beloved family

Besides clothes, I also brought home a "new toy". Guess what???

Aspire 4740G

Latest model from ACER. Woohoo...

CNY Shopping

Believe it or not, last Saturday was my first round of shopping for the coming Chinese New Year. When most of my friends have stocked up their wardrobe with new clothes, new shoes and new accessories, I'm just in the mist of a head start.

Bro had to work half day. So, I waited for him to pick me up from Times Square before heading to Pudu for lunch with mum and dad. Did some shopping on my own. Bought a set of formal wear at Nichii and a collared T-shirt for bro at Forest.

Bored while waiting for bro to crawl his way out from the jam. I utilised my time shooting CNY decorations.

Auspicious red decorations

After lunch in Pudu, the next stop was Midvalley. Walked from shop to shop - PDI, Padini Authentic, Seed, P&Co, Colours, Voir, Elle, Giordano, Romp, Topshop and even Jusco. I ended up with a foot ache and 4 pieces of T-shirt.

Pathetic!

I'm not being choosy. But the clothes available in the stores ain't my taste. Eww...

Had another photo shooting in Midvalley and The Gardens with bro.

Bro in white, me in purple...

Dinner at Old Town. I ordered the dinner set of Lam Mee, came with soft drink and pudding.

I didn't torture my pudding like how Jia Lun did. Blekz =P

Assignments Once Again

Last semester no assignment, all progressive tests...
Complained too much to be STUDIED!

This semester 4 assignments, only 2 progressive tests...
Complained too much PRESENTATIONS!

Pretty ironic, isn't it?

For the past 3 weeks, 2AFA students have been annoyed to the max by 2 assignments.

Firstly FDM. Should we invest in Dutch Lady? Should we not? Nobody knows.

Secondly ME. Presentation in Malay language. Duh!

Whatever it is, I kinda enjoyed the time doing business analysis and applying critical thinking skills into the project. From presentation wise, I personally think I performed badly. I spoke like a M16, shooting random piece of information to the audience.
I panicked?

YES!!!

Gosh... I wasn't really being myself that day.

Marks given were not revealed by Mr Tan yet. The wait is killing me. Anyway, sad times would not stop us from having photo session. Muahahaha...

Pretty group members. Love you gals >.<

Our previous P1 & current FDM lecturer, Mr Tan Vooi Giap

Sweeter than honey. Haha...

Future business associates!

Whose finger on the top left corner? *cough cough*

There were more photos in Yee San's handphone. But the idiotic snatch thief took all our memories with him. No backup. Grrr...

Last photo of the day

Does the pose look familiar to any of you? LOL...

Countless Attempts

Date: 18 January 2010
Time: 10.07 pm
Venue: Room sweet room

Updating blog at this very moment. 1st post of the brand new year! Woohoo...

Happy Belated New Year to you guys.

As usual, time passed really fast. It's the 3rd week of 2010. This should be my longest period of disappearance, eh? I kinda missed out a lot. No post on New Year celebration, no post on New Year resolutions. Practically, I didn't start the new year quite well. It was a HOME ALONE thingy. So, I don't see the need to blog bout it.

Many things happened these few weeks. 3 major issues.

Put them in a summary, shall we?

Issue #1: Assignments
The urge of meeting deadline is back, ruling the life of all 2AFA students. FDM analysis sucks big time. Totally have no idea of what we are crapping in those PowerPoint slides. Will be presenting this Thursday. Hopefully we can bypass Mr Tan with ease. Most of us are worrying over ME. Presentation will be conducted in Malay. Duh... Been 'N' years since I ever use proper Malay in conversation.

Bahasa pasar boleh lah! XD

Issue #2: Double responsibilities
I'm sick of being an assistant course rep and sub-printing manager at the same time. Thinking of the good old times during diploma, I seldom complain bout my work load no matter how bad things turned out to be. But now, I easily get upset and stressed up. For what reason? I don't know. I juz hate how people send unnecessary sms asking me this and that. I hate how people pushed me so hard to get their printing done. Damn! I can't do magics. Look for David Copperfield if you need one.

*puffed*

Issue #3: FM Resit
Gotta face the music again. TODAY! Despite being reluctant, I went through it wholeheartedly. I feel as if I'm going to puke whenever I see those notes. Still, reality is reality. It was my 2nd last chance to clear it off and I guess I screwed it. I don't wish to blame others but the lecturer has to be partly responsible if I failed again. Such nonsense questions he set for the exam! Bloody hell. He implies too much on practical theory which in my opinion, we are not up to that level. Mind you... It's a Skill module. Even a Professional module student like me think it's difficult, how bout the juniors? Why did I have to get a BIG SURPRISE in every FM paper? Am I not worth to get a pass forever?

*CMAO - Crying My Ass Off*

I seriously need an escapade and I realised I hadn't been to the cinema for ages. Sherlock Holmes is still in my pending list and many many many more!

Don't think I'll be able to accomplish this mission too soon. Progressive tests will be seeking in next week. Oh shit... This month is all bout EXAMS. Lifeless January.

2010 ain't a good year for me, I predict...

A Night At The Cinema

Miracles happened when I was bout to accept a hard fact. It was not something very awful though. But the fact that I nearly had to spend a silent Christmas at home ALONE is a pain in the ass.

"Lonely, lonely Christmas... Merry, merry Christmas..."

True enough when things are at its worst, there'll be a turning point.

I managed to book tickets for Avatar through GSC phone reservation on Christmas Eve. Yahoo! Since my bro and his gal didn't have any plan to themselves either, the 3 of us went to the movie the night after. Errr... Yeah, I became the "lamp post" again as usual. Who cares?

*oolalala*

We were almost late to collect the tickets. Supposedly not. We could easily reach within 20 minutes. But then, all the cars along Jalan Bukit Bintang were heading towards Pavilion. Holy crap! Took us an hour to crawl from Starhill to Menara Genting.

Believe it or not?

At that point of time, I was seriously worried that we would never be able to get a car park and make it to the cinema on time. Juz when we were bout to give up, a half empty parking space opposite Menara Genting caught our attention. As the others were still hunting for a car park, we were already on our way to the cinema. Mission possible!

Avatar is really outstanding. Couldn't agree more. I love the graphics so much. Splendid! Congrats to James Cameron. He did it again. I wished I could watch it in 3D. My friends are telling me the effects are exceptional. Some of them watched it for 3 times. Oh my... Everyone is now obsessed with the Navi's.

It was 12.20am when we left the cinema. The decorations at the entrance were still bright. Surprise surprise... We thought our plan to take photos that night was shattered as we didn't have time to do so before the movie. The lighting would normally turned off before 11pm.

*snap snap snap*

These are the contributions of my 3.2mp phone camera. Fairly acceptable.

Bro & Sis

Couple of the night

Me, me, me...

Our one & only photo together

Thanks to bro and Sze Yi for making my Christmas night so wonderful. What will I be doing for New Year?

Question remains unanswered...

It's Christmas

I'M B.A.C.K.

Back to my long-abandoned blog.

There's such a long list of things that I would like to blog bout. A whole month of events and happenings. But I don't think I manage to do so. Or should I say... I'm too lazy?

*nodding head*

Whatever it is, I don't wanna miss out blogging bout my best friends aka seniors' birthday. One of the first happiest thing that happened after my miserable ACCA exam.

It was last Friday when we celebrated Phui Mun's belated birthday and Poh Yee's advanced birthday at Canton-i, The Gardens. These cousins were born in the same month, same year. Their age? Err... I don't think I'm allowed to tell the secret. Make your guess. LOL...

I had never been to Canton-i before this. Their interiors resemble a lot like those Hong Kong restaurants that we can see from TV.

Our food from left to right:
1. Jasmine jelly, sea coconut, fungus with iced jasmine tea
2. Wantan noodles with roast pork belly and sui kow dumplings
3. Pomelo and mango sago cream

While waiting for our food to be served, let's camwhore ^^

Ambient environment and good food. The price isn't that cheap but it's worth the taste.

Overall rating: 9/10.

After we finished our lips lickin good noodles and desserts, came the second round. Let the celebration began. I present you the birthday gals...

PHUI MUN & POH YEE

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to Phui Mun & Poh Yee,
Happy birthday to you.

A not so successful self-shot groupie

Yeah! Wishing you gals a brighter future ahead and lots of blessings from health and happiness wise. Sisters forever!

My ever cutie seniors

Here's the birthday chocolate logged cake Ivena bought from a bakery in Jusco.

Before & After

Looks so yummy huh? That's what exactly we had in our mind. But not till we had our first bite of the cake. Yucks... It was SALTY.

No joke. Serious.

The baker must have mistaken the salt as sugar. Gosh... It was the worst cake I ever had in my life. Unforgettable!

Anyway, everything turned out to be fine except for the cake.

Couldn't resist ourselves from those Christmas decorations in the Center Court. It's so grand. Taking photos with such decorations made me feel as though I'm the princess of ancient time in Rome or something. Haha.

That was not all. While on our way to the parking lot, we had a few more shots in The Gardens too. The white butterflies hanging on those Christmas trees are so attractive. Speaking of Christmas, it is now.

MERRY XMAS, everybody!
Ho ho ho...

Big Spender

OK... Another post from me today.

You must be thinking I'm bout to talk on money matters, judging from the title above. Nope. Wrong!

*buzzer rang*

Not money wise, but time wise.

From my previous post, supposedly I have mentioned bout how I love to watch dramas. Did I? Or did I not? Never mind. Refer to this.

Old habit doesn't change in a night's time. In my case, I think it's getting off hand. I have been watching too many dramas lately and I don't seem to be able to resist myself from the temptation of Youtube. Too convenient huh? By just one click, I could find a playlist with a whole set of drama. Damn!

Here goes... The dramas that I'm done with for the past 2 weeks.

1. Hot Shot <籃球火>

2. Mysterious Incredible Terminator <霹靂MIT>

3. Knock Knock Loving You <敲敲愛上你>

4. Together <愛就宅一起>

5. Hi My Sweetheart <海派甜心>

As you can see... All these dramas aren't new, except for Hi My Sweetheart. Guess I'm too left-out for all these years and now I'm trying to catch up with the flow in a hurry. Oh no... Please no... Not this way... Not now!

Dramas are driving me INSANE.

Any cure for such addiction?

Someone gotta give me a hard blow on the head.
