Food Tour

Aunt Rosalind's visit was like a "Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan" program. Everything bout food. My blog is temporarily turning into a food blog too.

It was Aunt Rosalind and Lauren's 2nd weekend in Malaysia. Our journey started with lunch at De' Chiengmai Thai Seafood Restaurant in Sungai Buloh.

Looks so traditional huh?

As promised, there are more photos of my family members taken this time around. Introducing the roots of the Leong family...

Dad, Uncle Bernard, Aunt Rosalind & Grandma

Waiting for makan session

The adults ordered quite a number of food. But they managed to empty every plate and continued with desserts. I tasted only a few as I didn't have the appetite.

Yummy Thai delicacies

Self service mix & match dessert corner

I was actually more keen with the camera than the food. Hahaha. Paparazzi on duty!

4 cousins (Lauren, me, bro & Wen Hao), incomplete without Wen Han

Finally, a complete family portrait!

Headed to Midvalley after we were done at De' Chiengmai. As usual, looking for a car park was tough. We found one near the cinema. Apparently, the basement was full but the ones in Zone G and H were quite vacant.

First thing to do, shopped for Uncle Eddie's formal wear at the Robinsons, The Gardens. Next, booked a table for dinner at Dragon-i. Aunt Agnes and Uncle Bernard brought the kids to the arcade while the rest of us chilled out at Baskin Robbins to pass time.

Sharp at 6.30pm, we reached Dragon-i and there was a long queue of diners waiting to be seated. Luckily, we booked a table earlier.

Ordered ala carte dishes. My La Mian with Shanghainese pork chop tasted the best.

Mmm mmm...

I know the photos of food are very tempting. More to come. Stay tune!

Nothing Is As Silly

Another further delayed post from me. Sorry guys... My blog has turned into an ancient diary dumping area eh?

Went to Times Square last 2 weeks on a Sunday. Did some shopping and bought the dress that I wore during my class gathering. Will blog on the event soon. Currently down with a heavy flu. Couldn't sit for too long. Else, my nose will be blocked by those disgusting mucus. Eww...

*achhooooo~~~~*

By the way, has anyone watch this movie yet?

OK, I know what! Those who have NOT may be anticipating to grab the tickets at the cinema. Those who have, let me guess, should be cursing as for the money they paid made them waste 90 mins watching a silly to the bones kinda movie. Let's put it short. One word exactly... Rubbish!

The slogan on the poster says it all. Coming To Hit Your Funny Bone. Yeah, you'll laugh from the very beginning and you'll continue to laugh and laugh and laugh to a point where you notice you were all the while laughing at a bunch of fools but there ain't any development on the plot. Totally meaningless. I heard this is a cantonese version for Scary Movie. So, I shall conclude both movies suck big time.

Strictly, no second time!

But there was something that brighten up my day. Had dinner at Leo's then after.

Juz opposite Neway Karaoke

Ordered their set meal of Thai fried rice that comes with a glass of iced lemon tea and slices of watermelon. Cost only RM6++ and it taste fantastic. Nice fragrance. Mouthful of hot tomyam flavor.

*slurppp-iness*

Rating 8/10

Bad movie. Good food. Compensation works that way! Haha...

I'm addicted to this new Taiwan drama. It has good looking actors and actresses. Worth waiting for an episode per week.

*ngek ngek ngek*

P.S. Man <偷心大聖P.S.>

That's all for now. Gotta hop under my blanket and get some rest.

More updates to be released. Stay tune...

Second Time Around

Thaipusam. Public holiday. Yippie!

Everyone's out. How could we stay home and miss the fun? There goes my second round shopping in Sungai Wang Plaza.

On the way

Everyone seems to be doing last minute shopping like us. Holy crap! The parking bay was full. The stores were overly congested. The queue at the fitting rooms was at least 20 feet long. The queue at the cashier counter was of the same length.

No kidding.

I should have taken a photo of the situation. But I was too busy picking on clothes.

Mum and I lingered in the same shop for bout an hour plus. Both of us nearly suffocated from the fierce crowd of "bargain hunters". Luckily I suggested dad and bro to have their high tea in a nearby cafe. Our suffering paid off in the end. Mum bought me a dress and herself a blouse.

All I'm lacked now is a pair of shoes and a new handbag.

Went from shop to shop but ended up in vain. Shoes I spotted were either too tall or out of size. Not being able to wear 3 inches heels and size 6 isn't my fault. Blame my height!

Almost 6pm when we finished going around the mall. Time for dinner. Headed to our favourite Super Noodle House.

*drool*

No photos on food. All I could say is the shrimp wanton noodle and white fungus with longan and honey dew dessert are delicious. The beef brisket noodle is as good too.

My beloved family

Besides clothes, I also brought home a "new toy". Guess what???

CNY Shopping

Believe it or not, last Saturday was my first round of shopping for the coming Chinese New Year. When most of my friends have stocked up their wardrobe with new clothes, new shoes and new accessories, I'm just in the mist of a head start.

Bro had to work half day. So, I waited for him to pick me up from Times Square before heading to Pudu for lunch with mum and dad. Did some shopping on my own. Bought a set of formal wear at Nichii and a collared T-shirt for bro at Forest.

Bored while waiting for bro to crawl his way out from the jam. I utilised my time shooting CNY decorations.

Auspicious red decorations

After lunch in Pudu, the next stop was Midvalley. Walked from shop to shop - PDI, Padini Authentic, Seed, P&Co, Colours, Voir, Elle, Giordano, Romp, Topshop and even Jusco. I ended up with a foot ache and 4 pieces of T-shirt.

Pathetic!

I'm not being choosy. But the clothes available in the stores ain't my taste. Eww...

Had another photo shooting in Midvalley and The Gardens with bro.

Bro in white, me in purple...

Dinner at Old Town. I ordered the dinner set of Lam Mee, came with soft drink and pudding.

I didn't torture my pudding like how Jia Lun did. Blekz =P

Shopping is the best medicine for GIRLS...

Went into every boutique in Damansara Uptown yesterday morning. Apparently, these 3 girls enjoyed it the most, featuring Poh Yee, Ivena and Phui Mun. I was sort of like tagging along actually.

Clothing is not my best interest for the moment. There are a few tops in my closet that I have yet to get a chance to wear them. Well, I did try on a few skirts and shorts but none suit. Size matters. Blame my bulky thighs. Grrr...

Left for 1U around 2.30pm. Here was where we had our second activity. The one I looked forward to. MOVIE TIME!

Nearly late for the show. Collected our tickets, bought some snacks and took our seats. What we were bout to watch?

*Tadaa*

At first, we thought it's a kiddo show. But later WOW... Beyond our expectation. Lots of laughter, lots of moral values, lots of science fictions. Fantastic!

Ratings: 8 out of 10

Here's a lesson I picked up from this movie. Things that come easy are not necessarily good. Kinda reminds me of my exam results. Must work really hard to get paid huh? Yeah right. Whatever! I'm so not in the mood for this issue.

Back to our outing. It's been a while since the 4 of us took photos together.

Take 1 in the toilet (without Phui Mun). Too bad. She was waiting for us outside.

Take 2 in the cinema after the show ended. Using my 3.2mp phone camera. Blur.

Had high tea at Sushi Zanmai right after.

SUSHI... Yummy...

Slightly better than Sushi King. But the bill gave us a great shock.

RM46. What???

We had only bout 7 dishes and 4 glasses of refillable hot green tea.

Higher quality, higher price!

Luckily Phui Mun was the one driving. I looked like a dead fish on the way back.

Do you realise this is the shortest post I ever posted on my blog? Sorry. I'm really exhausted and upset these few days. Have no mood for blogging. But I can't bear to see my blog being abandoned for too long. I'm a responsible blog master. Ngeks...

P/S: Thanks so much to my lovely friends who expressed their continuous concerns over my emotional condition lately. I promise I'll get back on my feet and move forward real soon. Glad to have you guys around. My guardian angels!

Risk & Reward

Tanggal dua puluh enam,
Bulan sembilan,
Dua ribu sembilan,
MERDEKA, MERDEKA, tetaplah MERDEKA,
Ia pasti menjadi sejarah!

Ngek ngek ngek... Sorry to the composer for violating his copyright.

I couldn't believe myself to have survived the devastating exam period. Sleepless nights, nasty nightmares, lost of appetite, dark eye bags and worst still ZITS! Would take me at least 2 weeks to fix my look. Naaa... Ironically, my skin is never zits free. But at least they were hardly visible. I told my friends that I look as if I'm 10 years older. Haha.

My exam mission is temporarily over. Revision for ACCA starts in a week's time. Couldn't care much about it. All I wanna do now is to pamper myself with some shopping, movies and perhaps not to forget good food.

Was in Times Square this afternoon. Poh Yee and Cheng are holidaying in Genting. The rest were at work. No point for me to be home alone. Strolled around the mall for 2 hours. More of a window shopping spree. Caught a glimpse of some pretty nice tops. Held them for a minute or two.

Buy? Not buy? Buy? Not buy?

At the end, empty handed! Seemed to be a waste of time. Should have just stay at home, napping or facebooking instead. Uhuh...

Failed to shop. Let's not fail to eat. Passed by this dessert shop, Sweet Chat located at the lower ground floor. I have always wanted to give it a try. Their posters of desserts on the wall simply attracted me. Clever marketing skills. Hey, BA knowledge could be applied here. Haha.

Ordered its Mango Mountain which is actually the normal mango sago. Costed me almost RM8. I can easily get it at the night market for RM3. But this one comes with large portion of mangoes. A good trade anyway. So, this is my so called reward for the day!

Wished to continue my "one day shop alone" outing with a movie. But I was too tired to bring myself to the cinema. There's a long list of movies that I'm interested with.

The Ugly Truth, Gamer and the ever cute G-Force.

Movies, anyone?
