Party People

First time celebrating Desmond's birthday since he transferred to GAP KLCC sometime in June 2008. Knew him for bout one and a half years. But we are like long time buddies. Who would resist his friendliness and humorous personality?

OK, enough with the compliments. Back to the main subject.

Function: Desmond's pre 24th birthday party
Date: 4 November 2009
Time: 11pm - 4am
Venue: Neway Karaoke, Times Square

My outfit for the night. Black was the theme.

Picked up Bro Kit as usual, followed by Ying, the birthday boy and Pui Yee. Reached Times Square around 9pm. Alex and Chun Kit were already there before us. While waiting for those in the noon shift to finish work, we had a few rounds of bowling and basketball games at the arcade.

GAP "kids" on the run...

Head count before we went into our room. 1...2...3...4...5.......15? Was assigned to room No.2. To my horror, it was the room that we been into during Ying's birthday. OMG... What a coincidence!

Started off with some familiar songs. Desmond took position as the lead singer. The night solely belonged to him. We let him do whatever he wants.

Here are the different categories of photos taken for the night. Featuring...

The SINGLES

The DOUBLES

The GROUPIES

Birthday cake was delivered at 2am. Birthday song was played. Birthday boy made a wish and blew off the candles.

HAPPY 24th BIRTHDAY, Desmond!

May you live life with great joy and good health.

Birthday routine done. Time for trick or treat. Woohoo... How the game went bout?

All of us were given a poker card each when we entered the room. The birthday boy named 2 poker cards of his choice, then picked 2 mystery boxes prepared by Bro Kit. The ones holding the respective cards would opened the boxes to find out their tasks.

Suspense arising...

Khairul & Bro Kit were the organisers with Celyn and Zue, the card holders. Celyn had to drink 2 cans of Tiger beer that she unwrapped from her box. Still OK. But Zue? Oh my... Had to drink beer from a baby potty. Gosh!

As the night moved on, more people were drunk and more crazy stuff could be seen.

Desmond's secret affair with Alex and Khairul.

ROFLMAO...

Grill A Lot

MIA from Blogger for almost a week. Nothing interesting to be blogged bout, other than my long hours of revision classes. Yup, you are right! I'm back to college. Holidays no more.

Getting back to college this time is not so pleasant. Well, it's time to face the reality. Even on the first day itself, lecturers discussed bout our recent internal exam. Feedback session we call it. As expected, their model answers are so different from what I wrote on my answer scripts. The conclusion...

I SCREWED MY FINAL EXAM!!!

Hooray! Congratulate me for being too nervous in the exam hall. End up writing whole lot of shit. OK, I know I know... I hereby declare my exam is dead. Memorial session on 19 October 2009. Gotta get at least RM80 ready for resits.

Let's stop the exam issue and start with something delighted. Another GAP gathering on Wednesday. I mean 2 days ago. It was a large pre-birthday BBQ party held jointly by GAP KLCC and GAP Pavilion. Our operating manager, Penny also turned up as one of the guest.

Venue: Alex's front yard in Chow Kit
Time: 11pm - 3am
No of attendance: 20 persons

Forgive me. I totally forgot to take photos of the food that we had. Was busy fooling around with my colleagues and newly known GAP Pavilion staff. Never mind. Let me name those I remember. Marinated chicken wings, sausages, fish balls, fried popiah, fried dumplings, fried meehoon, fried rice, watermelons and fizzy drinks. Credits roll to Alex's mum for preparing the ingredients, not forgetting Desmond, Shue Fen and San for doing the shopping.

Done with the food, time for the cake. Common ritual... All of us sang a birthday song, the birthday stars made their wishes, blew out the candles and cut the cake. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my lovely brother Kit, the ever sexy goddess Zue, the charming little Red and GAP Pavilion supervisor, Yen.

I assured you the fun has yet to begin. Didn't end with eating the cake alone. They had a cream war on the streets! Naughty minds came up with evil plans. Some took revenge and some just wanted to have fun. I was only a witness as usual. Please never drag me along. I hate cream as my make up. Haha...

Zue was the first one being attacked by cream. She left around 1am. So, Khairul and Desmond waited for her at the front gate with plates of cream in their hands. She had cream all over her precious face and hair. That should be an awful nightmare for her. All her make up was ruined and she was bout to go for her second date at Uncle Chili's Club in PJ Hilton. Luckily, the guys didn't go overboard. At least, her clothes remained clean.

Second victim was Kit. I wasn't around when Penny and Shue Fen threw the cream at him. Unbelievable... Never knew Penny could be so playful. I thought she's an iron lady. The funniest thing was that she left immediately when Kit found out she was one of the pranksters. Afraid Kit would take revenge with the leftover cream on his cheek. LOL...

These guys are really good in getting the ball rolling. Coming up next was the friendly match in hand wrestling between the Malaysians and Filipinos. Kit was over excited that night. He kept challenging the others to try winning over him. I caught him and Mel in action.

Look at their reactions. Mel looked so relaxed that he even had a few sips of beer while Kit was struggling, using all his might to defeat him. Khairul's head is noticeable in the last photo, smiling for the camera.

The winner of the night...

*drum rolls*

THE FILIPINOS

Malaysians lost 1-3. Better luck next time!

Half of them left by 2am. The ones who stayed sat at the roadside and continue chatting complemented with beers. There was once Alex accidentally dropped a can of beer on the ground. Kit ran after me with the squirt out beer in the can. Dang... How could he?

It was the first time I had BBQ party with GAP-ians and I truly enjoyed it to the max. I get to savor nice food without the need to do the grilling myself. I had Khairul, Alex and Desmond as my personal servants. Haha. I also get to know new friends from the other GAP store. All these while, we only manage to communicate through the phone when we helped customers to make inquiry regarding stock availability.

Last but not least, this is the gift I prepared for Kit. A self-designed mug. To avoid plagiarism, I would say it's half designed by me and the other half by a designer from Print Work located on the 5th floor of Times Square. But the wrapping is 100% done by me. Ngeks...

I hope he likes it.

Maridel's Birthday

GAP-ians were on the go again. This time not to karaoke... Not to steamboat... Not to barbecue... Something that we have never tried before. We went for a dinner on 1st September 2009 at a Thai restaurant along Jalan Ampang. It's located between Ampang Park and Plaza OSK named
THAI BANGKOK CONNEXION RESTAURANT & BAR.

Honestly, I never notice the existence of this restaurant all the while. My first impression... It has a nice interior. There's bright colorful neon lighting in and out of the building. Suppose to have attracted many bar lovers. But to my surprise, we were the only customers. Are you kidding me?

Had a kind of funny feeling. Must be something wrong somewhere. Else, why would there be no other customers? Anyway, we took the benefit to "own" the whole restaurant without paying the large sum for it. Indeed an awesome deal!

We were entertained by a band consists of an Indian lady and 3 Thai men. She sang pretty well and her dance moves were gorgeous. HOT STUFF BABE! Made us dancing to the beat on our chairs.

Move your booty, move your booty...

Almost forgot to mention the purpose of this gathering. Del's 23rd birthday today. As usual, we don't celebrate birthdays on the exact date, either earlier or later. Del had fun to the max that night. From drinking various liquors to dancing on the stage. Way to go girl.

Craziness has yet come to an end. Time to cut the cake. We requested the DJ to play a birthday song and dedicated a birthday message to Del. It read:

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO FUCKING AUNTIE MARIDEL"

Woopss... I know it's mean but that was the special message written by our creative Abang Khairul. Hahaha. So the party went on. Del cut the cake. Blow the candles. The next minute... *popped*

The entire cake was on her face!!!

Pity the birthday girl. The place was then in a complete mess. Didn't know who actually played the prank. Never seem to have enough, they even threw the bits of cake on the floor at each other. Goodness... I stood at one corner to excape from the whole "play thing". Clever me.

Anyway, I felt sorry to the waiters and waitresses who were looking on. They must be cursing us in their heart for giving them more cleaning work to do before they could go off. We were truly sorry.

Almost 2am when we left. Del was half drunk. Her face was red like a cherry tomato. LOL... Zue took Del and Mel home. I drove Jie Ying and the rest of the guys were in Desmond's car. Proud to say this was the only gathering we had with least drunken people. Horray!

The latest portrait of our GAP family. Love you guys...

P/S: The photographer sucks... XD
