Weekend Treat

Weekend is the only time for me to rest and relax. The other days of the week are devoted to 3 things. Work, work and work! Stress level is getting a lil higher as my workload is getting heavier. Not to mention, the long list of feedback and errors to be amended. I usually end up with an exhausting brain and aching back every weekday.

So, cinema and gym are my only escapade activities on Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes, may go for shopping. I do all these alone by the way. Don't ask me why. Some people may find it silly to watch a movie on their own. But I enjoy spending time by myself. I have the freedom to watch any movie at any time and anywhere. No need to compromise with others. Agree?

Watched 3 movies for the past 2 weeks...

Grown Ups is damn hilarious. These guys never fail to make the audience laugh like mad throughout the show. It's true how things might have changed from the last generation. But kids nowadays are certainly too hooked up with technological gadgets and have no interest towards outdoor activities. Parents should watch this.

Piranha is bout man-eating fishes. All you can see is horribly bitten dead human bodies from the beginning to the end. Totally speechless. It's no joke to weak-hearted person. Please do not have your meals before the show. You may end up puking.

Step Up 3 is freaking awesome. Loves everything bout it. The music, the dance moves, the actors and actresses. It seriously turned me up. A must watch! You'll never regret.

Movie On Screen

These are the movies I watched for the past 2 months. Due to time constraint, movie quantity goes down but quality goes up. Sort of a good thing huh?

Eclipse is a long awaited movie. The plot is far better than New Moon. You can see more lively action scenes rather than romance on its own.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice is entertaining. Filled with magical tricks and humorous dialogues. Laughter is the best medicine.

Salt thrilled me to the max. Those stunts made my jaw dropped. You just couldn't have enough. In addition, Angelina Jolie looks super hot with black hair.

Inception is one of the most complex movies I have ever watched. Requires a lot of brain storming and imagination to fully understand the whole story. It taught us a worthy lesson though. Never try living in your imaginary world!

Love In Disguise has wonderful music and what's more? Lee Hom captures every lady audience's heart with his look and mesmerising songs. I cried at a few scenes. Crystal Liu is good at being emo. Touching indeed.

Catching Up

Hangout with my ever close gang - Luke, Kok Loong and Shi Min last Friday. 3 persons weren't able to join us. Jia Lun and Wey Shin are still in the UK undergoing their 3 months top up degree program. Joo Sim is currently working in Penang.

To begin with, we had lunch in Sushi Zanmai, The Gardens before moving to Midvalley for our movie session. Oh yeah, I wonder how many of you know bout this... Kok Loong and Shi Min are now an item!

*hoo haa hoo haa*

Congrats to both of them. I was super shocked the night before when I saw their relationship status in Facebook. I thought it's a prank. OMG... How come I didn't know this earlier? Big bang discovery. These people are good at keeping secret eh? Since there were only 4 of us, Luke and I on the other side took a photo of ourselves too.

Okay, I know what you guys wanna comment bout. I received lots of questions whether we are a newly made couple as well. The answer is a big NO. We juz so happened to wear the same colour tops. Why? Coincidence is a crime? LOL...

Enough with clarifications. Let's move on to food.

Luke's Unadon

My Nuki Saba

The couple's sushi

It was a pleasant lunch though I didn't really fancy the food I ordered. Gotta appreciate every minute we spent together as we won't be able to hangout so frequently after this.

A group photo at the end of lunch

This world is big yet so small. Yes... We ran into Sean at the same restaurant. Now you see how many coincidences we had in a day!

All in white

Seriously, I found myself feeling terribly awkward the whole time. We no longer walk together in a bunch as before. Luke and I walked ahead, leaving the couple behind having their own sweet time. Hmm...

Movie of the day was Knight and Day. Luke's choice. Great movie. Lots of action, humour and you also get the chance to enjoy seeing the good looking Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz for 2 hours.

But the 1st thing we did when we reached GSC was posing with the Toy Story 3 poster.

Puzzled Woody lost his right arm

The culprits!

Kok Loong and Shi Min left earlier as they had another plan later in the evening. So, Luke and I went for dinner at Carl's Jr while waiting for our next show.

Save the best for last. Toy Story 3, everyone's favourite childhood animation is superb. Most touching compared to the 2 previous ones. I left the cinema with teary eyes. A must watch movie for June.

Lining up next for July:
Back Up Plan
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore
Salt

Bro In His 20s

Celebrated bro's 20th birthday 2 weeks ago. Dinner in TGIF. At last, we broke the birthday in Wong Kok Char Chan Teng chain. LOL...

It was an unplanned celebration though. Since we were around the Pavilion area, we might as well kill 2 birds with one stone. Without nice clothing and makeup, we walked into TGIF with t-shirts, shorts and slippers. Only bro was in his formal wear as he juz finished work.

Ordered 2 different set meals that comes with an appetizer and main course each.

4 persons portion

(Clockwise from top left): Clam chowder, Shanghai chicken salad, Boneless wings, South adobo chicken

The food was awesome. I'm in love with the salad. Unique taste.

The happy couple

Sleepy & pale looking sis

Bro had his free piece of chocolate mousse cake too. Looked fairly nicer than mine with a strawberry on it but the texture was horribly dry. Eww...

Birthday boy

Not-so-fresh cake

3 big pandas. Haha...

End our night with a horror movie. Bloody intense. The way he kills is so cruel. I was extremely frightened by its ending. Damn.

Had nightmares for the 2 following nights. Freddy Krueger, the bastard!

Nothing Is As Silly

Another further delayed post from me. Sorry guys... My blog has turned into an ancient diary dumping area eh?

Went to Times Square last 2 weeks on a Sunday. Did some shopping and bought the dress that I wore during my class gathering. Will blog on the event soon. Currently down with a heavy flu. Couldn't sit for too long. Else, my nose will be blocked by those disgusting mucus. Eww...

*achhooooo~~~~*

By the way, has anyone watch this movie yet?

OK, I know what! Those who have NOT may be anticipating to grab the tickets at the cinema. Those who have, let me guess, should be cursing as for the money they paid made them waste 90 mins watching a silly to the bones kinda movie. Let's put it short. One word exactly... Rubbish!

The slogan on the poster says it all. Coming To Hit Your Funny Bone. Yeah, you'll laugh from the very beginning and you'll continue to laugh and laugh and laugh to a point where you notice you were all the while laughing at a bunch of fools but there ain't any development on the plot. Totally meaningless. I heard this is a cantonese version for Scary Movie. So, I shall conclude both movies suck big time.

Strictly, no second time!

But there was something that brighten up my day. Had dinner at Leo's then after.

Juz opposite Neway Karaoke

Ordered their set meal of Thai fried rice that comes with a glass of iced lemon tea and slices of watermelon. Cost only RM6++ and it taste fantastic. Nice fragrance. Mouthful of hot tomyam flavor.

*slurppp-iness*

Rating 8/10

Bad movie. Good food. Compensation works that way! Haha...

I'm addicted to this new Taiwan drama. It has good looking actors and actresses. Worth waiting for an episode per week.

*ngek ngek ngek*

P.S. Man <偷心大聖P.S.>

That's all for now. Gotta hop under my blanket and get some rest.

More updates to be released. Stay tune...

All About Movies

Managed to catch 2 movies at the cinema lately.

72 Tenants of Prosperity was a treat from Poh Yee's boyfriend. He got his 1st pay from his 1st job upon graduation. Thanks Cheng Cheng! Hehe...

I think this is the best CNY movie for 2010. I'm not bias coz it's a collaboration of more than a hundred of famous Hong Kong film stars. But the overall story is pretty good. Well, there's a purpose behind every scene with a touch of humour and musical. It's not only on a "just for laughter" basis. Worth watching. We left with aching tummies resulted from laughing too hard.

There are a number of high ratings on Alice In Wonderland. Very curious to know how good the movie is. Getting the tickets was a nightmare itself. I tried to reserve the tickets through GSC website and phone call. Unfortunately, every session was fully booked. Shocking much? Luckily, Luke helped me bought them using online payment. Thanks for your help, pig baby...

It was bro and his gal's 1st experience watching movie on 3D. They felt a lil dizzy but adapted to it soon after. Hmm... I was not too fascinated by the story. Find it quite childish as it's based on the nursery storybook which we used to read when we were kids. But I was certainly impressed by the characters of the story. They made the movie so lively. Good choice of actors and actresses.

Robert Pattinson's new movie, Remember Me looks interesting. In my next to be watched list. Hopefully, it's not a lame romance movie.

I bet I'll be broke from spending too much on cinema tickets.

*sob sob*

Day Out

Celebrate after knowing our ACCA results? Not really... Tend to lie low coz passing the core papers ain't the end of our war. But we did organise an outing for 9 to Midvalley last Saturday for the sake of food and movie.

Sorry for the delay. Got the photos from Joo Sim 2 days ago.

Here's where we started our day. Lunch at Gardens Sushi Zanmai.

Featuring the out-goers...

Some of my friends wondered why the guy in the center gets a larger share in the photo above compared to the others. Well, he's our course rep. Should be given a better treat. Haha... Status makes a difference.

Ordered quite a lot of food. Ala carte for ourselves and sushi on Kok Loong. Thanks BOSS!

Part of the food on our table

Next would be AFA2 committee behind the scene.
Too cute to resist huh? LOL...

There were only 2 thorns among the roses. So, they were overjoyed. Look at the smile on their faces. As if they won the 1st prize in lottery. Juz kidding.

Surrounded by pretty babes. Ah bliss!

By appearance, the committee may look serious at work. But in fact... We are as playful as everyone does. Crazily attracted to the camera then. Couldn't bear to see themselves not being captured.

Can you spot the difference???

Group portrait is certainly not to be missed

Left Sushi Zanmai with bloated tummies. Oh my... Overly filled by sushi and bento. 2 hours before it's time for our movie. Some gals went to shopping while the rest of us lingered around the mall, randomly snapping photos as we went.

An hour later, we stopped by Baskin Robbins for ice-cream. Wow... Had we digest our heavy lunch?

Wey Shin's & mine. Forgot the names!

The big eaters. Muahahaha...

Handmade starry starry night

4.20pm at Hall 17. Watched Up In The Air as recommended by Kok Loong. None of us had any idea what the show was all bout.

I was bored at the very beginning. Slow moving, not much of actions and too much of talking. But that's the beauty of the show. You have to listen well to their dialogues to get the jeez of it. Luke was sound asleep towards the end. Duh!

Dinner at Kim Gary. Tummy growling in hunger. Camwhored while waiting for our food to be served.

Fellow committee again

Joo Sim suggested something really silly. 3 of us pretended to be cute tigress. Swt...

Vote for the CUTEST ^_^

Our set dinner. Look good but taste not-too-bad...

Last photo of the day. Ended with all smiles.

Panic Stricken

Online at places with wifi. AGAIN...

Yesterday at Sri Rampai Old Town. Today at Jusco McDonalds.

*grumble to the max*

When is my god-damn Streamyx gonna be repaired? It's the fourth day already. I'm so lifeless without Internet at home. I wanna start doing my assignments. I wanna watch dramas on Youtube. I wanna Facebook. I have lots and lots of things to do!

Gotta type as fast as I could. Lappy battery is going off soon. No socket in McD. Duh... Why things seem not to be going well?

*shake head*

Watched 2 movies lately.

Watched this one myself in Times Square sometime before CNY. Went shopping for bags, passed by the cinema, stood in front of the poster, thought for a min... Alright. Let's go!

Nice one. Fairytale story. Well, the title of the movie tells it all. I kinda laughed my ass off from the beginning and cried my heart out towards the end. The dialogues were funny and touching. The Rock is good at making faces too. Overall, I love it.

Watched this one with bro 2 days ago. We actually planned to watch it with our parents last Sunday to celebrate both CNY and Valentine's Day. It's been a while since the 4 of us go for a movie together. Unfortunately, the mishap ruined our plan and everything has to be cancelled.

Valentine's Day is bout the love life of a few couples. Look at the list of cast. WOW... Wonderful actors and actresses. We were really impressed when we saw the trailer. Expecting it to be an excellent show. It's not too disappointing though. Only the plot isn't that well-planned. 130 mins are hardly enough to move from a story to another. But the ending is not bad. Acceptable.

Noticed I didn't take much photos this CNY, unlike last year. Lacked of CNY mood. Family affairs and ill for twice in 2 weeks took my mood away. But then, the poster outside the Midvalley Watson is really cute. So, we took one there before we left.

Bro with his undone hair

Me with a pale face

Had a piece of Mango Delight at Secret Recipe too. So random huh? Dessert is the best medicine when you are having a bad mood. True enough...

Mmm mmmm... ^^

By the way, 3 more days to go before the release of ACCA results. Gosh... I'm getting panic, you know? Though I'm ready to face the worst outcome, basically all FAILED!

*touchwood*

Still, I wish I could juz get through at least one subject. My main target is to clear off my fundamental paper. I mean Financial Management.

Oh please...

Couldn't do much now. Wait for the results with patience. Hopefully, Streamyx comes back to life by then. I wanna check my results at home. I don't wanna get a heart attack somewhere in the public.

That's so embarassing!
